[LM_NET] ELEM: author/character celebrating 100 years

Hi Everyone,

I am looking for an author or character that will celebrate a  
birthday or anniversary in 2006.  (Like Dr. Seuss in early spring  
2004 = I think it was then!)

Any ideas?  or even where I can look to find out?
