[LM_NET] TARGET: Book Titles

I don't have much information here but I've seen miracles occur on this  
listserv!  I have a science teacher that wants help finding two books from  her 
past (possibly 30 years ago!) and she remembers only these  tidbits:
1) Author is Isaac Asimov, believes the characters are  called Sunwaifs and 
they have somehow been 'altered' by the sun.
2) Believes the title is something like "Hello, My Name Is... but can't  
remember the name.  It is the true story of a boy who was involved with the  
occult and dies at the end of the story.  It was written by the boy's  mother.  It 
made her scared to death of the occult in any form (which was  why her teacher 
had her read it).
Thanks in advance to anyone  with a super memory who may be able to help me 
out!
