[LM_NET] VENT: How will they survive in the real world

Dear LM_NET:

Do you ever wonder how our students will survive in the real world?
This question hits me again as the secondary students look through the slot
in the top of the cannister for Christmas trivia answers rather than think
for themselves or God forbid look up the question.

The students seem to be all about instant gratification: instant service,
instant answers, instant rewards.
They spend much more effort copying from a web site into word,  typing
papers into special fonts and adding pictures, than they do researching,
reading, editing and learning. 

Sigh again.
