Help, Resourceri!
I have a student who has designed a logo that he wants to have embroidered
on team shirts. Someone who saw his design told him that it is already in
use, and is copyrighted (trademarked?). How do we find out if "his" design
is already protected by copyright? Is there a database to search, and how
would you search for a design, anyway? Does he send his design to some
government office (address?) and ask to have it trademarked, and let them
tell him it's already used? How do I help him?
