I know that when my son was in MS he did DEAR, but I think it was in his LA
class.

Subject: [LM_NET] Target: MID: Drop Everything and Read
Date: Wed, 2 Feb 2005 10:10:24 -0800

Our middle school is going to switch from our present system of having a
20-minute combined SSR/homeroom period to start the day to instead going to
a type of DEAR (Drop Everything and Read). On some days, the kids will have
SSR during half of their lunch period. On other days, they might have it
during one of their classes. In any case, my principal would like me to find
out if there are other middle schools doing some type of DEAR program, and
if so, how well it works. Thanks in advance for your help!
