We have purchased two hand held scanners from ID Recall. They are
wonderful, easy to use, reliable, and cost about half what a hand held
inventory scanner costs from Winnebago. They slip on and off the cord to
the computer, and then slip into a battery pack to go to the shelf for
inventory. They operate by printed command codes - you simply scan a
sequence to use them for inventory, and then scan another set of codes to
use them at the deck for checking in. I love the fact that they can do
double duty - both check in/check out and inventory. However, we purchased
ours a few years ago, and they may have a different make/model for todays
users. I found the company very easy to work with, and willing to discuss
what they could do to meet our needs. I would recommend anyone looking for
a current scanner to communicate directly with them for what their current
offerings and prices are. Contact them at www.iderecall.com, or
info@idrecall.com. Good luck.
