Greetings, A recent post about lexiles made me do some thinking. Our school district is considering switching to NWEA testing. My principal has asked me to find information about how that switch has affected libraries. I am interested in both high school and elementary as I am responsible for one of each. Primary concerns for me are: how does this work with or interfere with AR, are high school fiction and/or nonfiction labeled with lexile ranges, and if so, how was this accomplished, and what impact did this have on reading assignments, purchases, etc. that affect the media center. Also, are there other issues I should be considering? I would really appreciate any information that you could offer.
