A student's lexile score represents what he or she can read with 75 percent comprehension rate. On NWEA's MAP reports, scores are usually also available in 150 point ranges. The lower part of this range might indicate the student's independent reading level. The upper part of the range, might be used for the student's group reading program, the instructional reading level.
