I work in a high school media center where we're in the process of getting a new school. However I just found out that the architect has cut 200 ft. from the media center. My media center is currently a little over 1500 feet. I've spoken with the principal about this and she relayed my opposition to the architect. However, after talking about it with several people (excluding me) they decided to go ahead and make the cut. He actually suggested bringing along some shelves from the old school! I sent an email to the architect explaining that such a cut was unacceptable and demanding a meeting. I also pointed out that extra shelves are pretty useless if there's no place to put them! Does anyone out there have any ideas on how to fight this? Thanks in advance!
