We are in the process of planning a Family Reading Night and are a little stuck on ideas. We're still trying to figure out if we should gear it toward parents and talk to them about how to help their kids or gear it toward students and have stations that they can rotate between (or both). It will last one hour so we don't have lots of time. Our focus is our primary students so we are looking at activities for them. We will be giving them a goodie bag when they leave that includes a free book, "reading" pencil, sticker, bookmark, a list of helpful web sites, and some handouts from Jim Trelease and Mem Fox. Have any of you had something like this at your school? If so, do you have any activities to share or advice on what works and what doesn't? Thanks!! /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ Brenda Young, Library Media Specialist Rose Hill Elementary Omaha, NE brenda.young@ops.org -------------------------------------------------------------------- All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
