I have also seen the the movie, Because of Winn Dixie, and thought that
the producers stayed true to the book. Unlike the other poster, I
thought the casting was superb. I was prepared to be disappointed but I
was n. Students who see the movie will be drawn to the book. That those
who loved the book will be nodding along with the many aha moments. When
Sweetie Pie tastes the Litmus Lozenge and lets it drop from her mouth,
she says,"it tastes like not having a dog" we are reminded that we all
have secret sorrow not apparent to the world. Even a five-year-old. Lisa
