Greetings: The instructor for our world literature class is looking for a "Latin American novel" that would be appropriate for her 12th. grade students. She is looking for something written in the last 30 years that received either critical acclaim or popular acclaim. ...and still be appropriate for 12th. graders. It has to be in English, not Spanish. Frankly, this is a genre I'm totally unfamiliar with, and I'm not getting a good "handle" on it through standard review sources. If any of you have experience with this genre, I'd appreciate suggestions. If there is interest, I'll post a HIT. TIA!
