I think I would say to the group that it is impossible to condense all you
do into 15 minutes, but tell them you would like to stress the vital
importance of literacy, that strong library programs promote literacy and
help improve test scores (almost every parent seems to have bought into the
mantra that better test scores mean a better school and better education),
and then finish off with some specifics about what your program does in
these areas, highlighting whatever links/cooperation you have between the
library and the classroom teachers.
