I'm not sure that Bush's nominee for Dept. of Ed. Secretary was even official before she contacted PBS President Pat Mitchell to express her displeasure. Unfortunately, PBS and NPR are both starting to fall in line with the current administration. As a columnist for the Seattle PI wrote, PBS "...has become the Neville Chamberlain of TV, a pitiable symbol of appeasement subject to every funding threat the government issues." Fortunately, WGBH in boston, the show's producer, is distributing it for preview by other PBS stations. KCTS in Seattle has chosen to air the episode.
