Responses to my post were too numerous to count, or display their contents
here. I will summarize the salient points made in them.
Negative responses: 2 out of the many received. Maninly for
service/billing issues. Long time to make exchanges.
Neutral responses: 2. (different 2) Mostly good reporting on the service,
but one mentioned the bindings that did not stand up well, while another
said they were very good bindings. Another liked the service but saying
that, made sure that this was a small part of collection
development. Several mentioned that the reading levels were not to be
trusted, although several mentioned them being too high, while one said
they were too low.
Positive responses: 28 (so far) Service is great, books are or will be
award winners in most instances. One mentioned that since this PO was
signed at the beginning of the year, she got books throughout the year even
when her budget ran out - to the chagrin of the principal (the librarian
had to show him the signed PO [signed by him] :>) ) Most agreed that the
pricing was good, no complaints about the prices. Several mentioned
helpful reps too.
