I agree that it is difficult to find appropriate magazines for middle school, that will actually interest students. This year I added a few to the news-focus ones we had, and I'm asking students what they think of them. Each time, I explain that is difficult to select fun, yet appropriate ones. New for this year: Outdoor Life Dirt Rider Popular Hotrodding Nintendo Power American Girl Justine (a new, trendy magazine, that focuses on fashion, not on kissing techniques -- quarterly) And yes, the kids are looking at them. I stay away from obviously raunchy types, and I let the girls buy YM on their own time.
