Our school uses MLA exclusively. The English department has purchased several class sets for students to use throughout the year. I also encourage students to purchase their own copy for home and future use. Still I thought it would be beneficial to put a short list (1 page) of citations in their agenda books for quick reference when they can't get to other sources. High use citations like, book with one author, book with more than one author, encyclopedia, website, etc. I wish this was already part of their "quick look up reference" section. They have items like the periodical table and conversion charts but no citation information. Agenda books are printed by an outside company then given to our students at no charge to them. How should I handle this from a copyright standpoint? Would a simple citation statement work? Thanks in advance!
