Thanks to everyone who responded this afternoon! I've already had 17 very positive responses about this series. The consensus is that they are VERY POPULAR with second through fourth grade students, particularly boys. One person even mentioned that a Language Arts teacher requested them for the library, so although they may not be of award-winning literary quality, they are certainly a respectable addition to an elementary library.
