I took my son and his best friend for my son's seventh birthday this
weekend and it was a big hit. My four year old would have been
terrified though. I had not read the books and did enjoy the movie.
I'm sure the books are better (aren't they always??), but the movie was
quite interesting. On a separate topic, though, my husband and I keep
snakes and are a bit concerned about the effect of the reptile room
shots on impulse snake purchases. Remember the news stories after
Finding Nemo where fish breeders were trying to discourage clown fish
purchases and reminding people that all drains don't lead to the ocean?
The Burmese python that Uncle Monty wears around his neck can grow to 20
feet and weigh over 100 lbs!
