Colleagues,

While my boss is gone for two more weeks, I've been given a
re-cataloging assignment, and I'm not a cataloger.

Can someone educate me on what it means in the Dewey
Classification book "See Manual at 200.9 vs. 294, 299.5"? What "Manual"
? I checked the volume for these numbers, but they didn't give me any
more ideas about the use of the 200.9 number.

The book in question is currently classified as 200.973. I
don't know the significance of the 73. If it's a standard subdivision,
I'm not able to discern how it was originally determined.

The book in question is "A religious history of the American
people".

Thanks for any instruction you can forward.
