Happy New Year to all--

I have a rather simplistic question about the Caldecott
Award--are the books considered for it only those
published within that year? Would any books from late 2003
be considered?

I am planning to do a mock Caldecott in my school and I am getting
my new books together. I don't want to include any
books that have no chance of winning.
