I would like to know how other schools handle teacher e-mail. Are teachers required to communicate with parents through e-mail? We are finding that some parents want to communicate with all teachers through e-mail and feel that teachers should be required to communicate that way. They say that if the school was a business, it would be required. However, some teachers balk at the idea of having to check their e-mail often and don't want to deal with what could be a lot of correspondence. How are other schools dealing with this?
