I thank you, my teachers thank you! :) Lisa Did you visit Simon & Schuster's web page for the Frindle teaching tips? http://www.simonsays.com/content/ link to Children's Books Link to Teachers & Librarians Link to Frindle When I taught the book as a classroom teacher I read them the first chapter or two (before they discover what a findle is) and had them write and illustrate a piece about what a frindle was. It was a RIOT - and they LOVED writing it. Aladdin Books/Simon and Schuster, the publisher of FRINDLE, publishes an excellent teaching guide to the book. http://www.simonsays.com/content/content.cfm?sid=183&pid=406954&agid=21 Also, check out the S&S website for Clements info http://www.simonsays.com/content/content.cfm?sid=183&pid=353745 and the official Findle site http://www.frindle.com/ Try: http://www.readinglady.com/gr/Lesson_Plans/Frindle/frindle.html http://www.eduplace.com/tview/pages/f/Frindle_Andrew_Clements.html http://www.quia.com/jq/19663.html http://www.frindle.com/ http://www.multcolib.org/talk/guides-frindle.html http://tinyurl.com/4jvde http://tinyurl.com/4yg2q http://boe.mars.k12.wv.us/reading/frindleact. http://www.ltl.appstate.edu/litcircleunits/litcirunits_Fall02/Frindle/ http://lupus.northern.edu:90/hastingw/CLEMENTS.html http://home.att.net/~clnetwork/ar/frindle.pdf Have you tried this link? http://www.eduplace.com/tview/pages/f/Frindle_Andrew_Clements.html I found it using the A9 search site. http://a9.com/?c=1&src=a9 Here are a couple of websites that might be useful: http://www.frindle.com/ http://www.multcolib.org/talk/guides-frindle.html Lisa Rose Librarian Williams Elementary School 5111 FM 762 Richmond, TX 77469 281.341.3330 rose@lcisd.org Willow: Gee, maybe we should help Giles.
