LM_NETTERS Our district & public library are looking into forming a library software consortium. Through this software a potential program change is to have public library books delivered to schools. If your school or public library is involved in this kind of operation, would you please let me know how it has worked and how well it has worked by answering the questionnaire below? Assuming public library books are delivered to your school how are books checked out to students and/or parents? How often are books delivered Daily? Weekly? Who physically checks them out - public library staff or school staff? Are school personnel responsible for the return/collection of public library books? How many PL books/materials are circulated in a month? What has been student reaction, both positive and negative, to this program? How has this affected the school library program? For the better? For the worse General comments? Any recommendations to organizations considering this kind of program?
