Thanks to all who responded! Everything I received was very positive.  Some had 
hosted her at their school, some had seen her at a bookstore or conference, one 
reported that her mother (a librarian) had a positive experience. Adjectives used 
were wonderful, fun, witty, wise, warm, delightful, upbeat and smiley, and "you'd 
be lucky to have her."

These sort of shared experiences are invaluable to my committee and me.  Thanks 
again!
