Greetings and best wishes for the new year to all,
Our 8th grade language teacher is planning a unit on tolerance for this
spring. In the past they have read Ann Frank, Weisel's Night and
stories of the Japanese internment camp experience in the U.S. This
year she would like to have them read nonfiction accounts of more recent
events. One title she will use is Zlata's Diary. She would also like
something first-hand for the Sudan, Palestine/Isreal, Iraq and
Afghanistan. I've been perusing Amazon without a whole lot of luck! Any
suggestions? TIA
