I had a request today from a teacher that asked me if there was any research out there that talked about how much new information teachers (or anyone) could absorb at once. Here is the situation that would apply for this: Our teachers have just moved into a new school. In the last four months, they have been inserviced on 6 + 1 Traits, NWEA testing and how to interpret the results, and Big Blocks. They are expected to implement all of this at the same time. Is there research out there to support the idea that teachers can only be expected to do one new concept at a time? Thanks for your help in advance.
