Needing some help with research studies.

The technology team here is preparing to make recommendations to the
school board about technology needs for the school district. We don't
have a tech director. As part of the process the administration is
asking that research studies be found to support the idea that
technology does
help improve student achievement in reading, math, and science. Any
favorite studies that you would recommend?

The second part is most interesting to me. What strategies should
teachers be using to increase student achievement in the three core areas?
I'm thinking how can this also be applied to school libraries? Use
of databases??? Other ideas??? I will be posting the results to
my question about online databases this weekend. Thank-you to everyone
who responded!

Interesting article shared with me by my principal. "Save the
libraries" by Susan B. Neuman and Donna Celano as found in Educational
Leadership/March 2004.

       Are libraries an endangered species?
