Hi all-- Here is a question for those of you who manage your school's textbooks. Our school library has managed our school's textbooks (barcoding, cataloging, check out, check in, inventory, etc.) for the last 3 years. So far, so good. Recently, we've had one of those situations no one likes to have, and we have a new (used one semester) set of mathematics textbooks that we no longer need. As the new guru of textbooks, it has fallen to me to figure out what to do with them. I've thought about donating them to a school that needs/wants them, but have no way of knowing who might want them! I do not want to spend the time selling them one by one on E-bay or the like and I really don't want to throw them out...they are way too new! I've looked through the archives, asked local colleagues, and done some Googling with no luck. I am still at a loss. Does anyone have any advice? I can post a HIT if there is an interest. P.S. Just in case YOUR school might need them, this is what we have: COMAP's Mathematics: Modeling Our World, Courses 1-3 plus teachers materials. Copyright 1998, used lightly, but barcoded and contains library property stamps and spine labels! Jeneen Willemssen Conserve School Librarian 5400 N.
