Hi Everyone--
I've got some real good news for librarians and teachers who like to come to
my all-day Winners conference in North, South, and Central New Jersey every
year in May (Winners: A Closer Look at the Top-Rated Children's Books of 2004).
Some of you already know that Rutgers SCILS isn't sponsoring any more
workshops as they're quite busy working on their wonderful new online Masters
program.
So I contacted my publisher, Libraries Unlimited, and we've worked out all
the details to keep Winners alive. Hooray! I'm so excited about this!
This will be our 21st year of Winners. (That's right--I was only 12 when I
started doing this...) All new, as it is every year, and in the same venues as
last year, on May 3-6. (Yes, it is similar to my BER seminars, but not
identical.) LU will also be selling my handbook for the program, starting in May, to
anyone who wants one. (I'm putting it together as we speak, waiting for all
those Best Books of the Year lists and awards to come out in the next few weeks.)
So if you can't make it to the program, you can still buy the handbook.

I'm also writing night and day to finish my new book for Libraries Unlimited,
Books Kids Will Sit Still For 3, due out by the end of 2005. SO many books,
so little time...
