Dear LM_NETters: I was reading an editorial in the News-Leader, Springfield, Mo. yesterday and I came across some money figures such as $40 million estimate for the Inaugural celebration. Also, I was reading about the second phase of Bush's reading and education programs. $100 million has been allocated this year to fund Striving Readers I would like to put together a fact sheet on the money spent for other current items to illustrated how little $100 million really is. Do you know where I might find such statistics? I found the pie graph for US Gov't dollars. I would like to find more i.e. money spent on gasoline daily; money spent on carry out coffee, etc. If you can help, please e-mail me. Thanks.
