Hello LMNETters: My libraries currently use Athena Multi-User from Sagebrush Corp, a fairly inexpensive cataloging system. Our tracking of equipment that circulates (TVs, cameras, laptops, etc) is currently limited to a paper trail. One option would be to simply catalog the items and track them, but I'd also like to be able to schedule their use. I'm looking for a solution that will solve both problems elegantly. My own inclination, since I'm familiar with the product, is to use Filemaker to create a database that users access from the web to schedule use, but this won't tie into Athena. I'd need to do the separate transaction when users came to get the equipment (and enter the cataloging / scheduling info into two programs!). Am I looking for too much, or does something relatively inexpensive exist? Thanks all!
