Peter's comments are right on the money. When organizations of professionals
subjugate their standards to the relativity of political expediency we are all in
trouble. Here in New Hampshire we see rogue school boards, pushed by escalating
property taxes, trying to gut sound educational programs, including school
libraries. While we rush into the glorious new age heralded by NCLB,
