We send over dues out once a month. More often annoys my teachers and
less often seems to lead to more books being lost. And yes - there are
always a lot of books out over due. Our circulation is about 100 per
day and we typically have 100 or so book overdue at any time.

How often do you send out overdue notices? I am new to this library and
have found that the number of books overdue is half again as large as
the number of books out which are not overdue! Is this common at the
high school level?
