The school nurse has been pulling kids from my library classes to check
their vision and hearing.

She came to one first grade class and said, "Today I will take a few of you
to check your eyes and ears."
Of course, they all raise their hands.

So I said, "Mrs. A. has a list and she goes in alphabetical order by last
name." (I'm always plugging alphabetical order)
Mrs. A. says, "Yes, I making a list, checking it twice..."

And Richie, who always sits right under my feet, looks at me and says,

"Ohhhh, she's going to check us TWICE?"

Please, God,


 I need a SNOW DAY!!!
