LM_NET Archive

Greetings to all,

As the author of "School Libraries Work!" I am thankful that LM_NET members
are not only reading the document but also sharing it with principals,
administrators, school board members, etc.

The January issue of District Administration: The Magazine for K-12
Education Leaders has an excellent follow-up feature article to School
Libraries Work titled "Heart of the School:The school library is as valuable
as learning how to read and compute. But it's a tough sell for
administrators." The article is on the the District Administration website
and can be printed or emailed from
http://www.districtadministration.com/page.cfm?p=960

Sharing this article with your administrators will be an added plus to the
importance of school libraries.

Make yourselves a wonderful week!

Best,
Terry

Subject: [LM_NET] GEN: Advocacy - School Libraries Work

Greetings,

The following site was posted to the Canadian Coalition for School
Libraries list. I think it was posted to LM_Net late in 2004, but if you
didn't have a look at it then I highly recommend that you do now.

This very professional document titled "School Libraries Work" was put
together by Scholastic Library Publishing. If you need some advocacy
material this is a good report to use.

Regards,
Randi Hermans
