Snyder, Zilpha Keatley._The ghosts of Rathburn Park._Delacorte, 2002 [0-385-90064-3] Matt and his family move to a new town. Near the park, deep in the woods is the old town, burnt down. All that is left is the old mansion called "The Palace" by the local residents. Just the last of the Rathburn family lives there, an elderly lady. One day Matt wanders into the woods and meets a young girl dressed in old clothes. Could she be a ghost? She has the same name as the elderly lady in the house. What about that dog that keeps appearing out of nowhere? In this 182 page book, not only does the reader deal with the possibility of ghosts, but also tension in the family with Matt's brother and sister. A good read. ***** Frederick Muller, Librarian Halsted Middle School Library Newton, NJ 07860 fmuller@tellurian.net My book comments are compiled at: http://www.halsted.org/br.htm -------------------------------------------------------------------- All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
