Oh yes, I'll jump in. When I first came to a high school, the reference collection wasn't used at all. It was also extremely outdated, crowded onto the shelves and physically located in a corner of the facility. First, we heavily weeded, then we moved the stacks to be right in front of the entrance, and finally dedicated a significant amount of money to reference materials. We then heavily marketed the resources to teachers and students. The reaction from staff and students: Wow... look at all the new books! It became one of the most heavily used areas of the library! My suggestion to anyone who believes print is going by the wayside... try what I did, and you might be surprised at what your students and faculty will use. Just my .02 (let the games begin!)
