Dear LM-NET members,
I have a high school teacher who needs a book or books similar to Life in
Prison by Tookie Williams to put in his room for lower achieving ninth
graders to read after they finish their work. Any suggestions?

in the library, picked it up and read it. He LOVED IT so much he ordered
a class set for his law class! He has asked me to do some research and
find some other books similar to that one to put in his room so that his
lower achieving ninth grade students have something to read when they
finish their work. He would prefer something that ties in with Social
Studies but not necessarily. He is an AWESOME teacher and I really want
to find some books that his students would LOVE!
