[LM_NET] MID: eBooks for lower-performing readers

I am looking for eBooks that would be appropriate for middle grade (6
through 8) readers who are currently reading below grade level.  Our
current holdings consist of "classics".  These were very reasonably
priced, but we  now need to find additional material that is READABLE
by our lower-level students AND affordable.  Any suggestions?
