[LM_NET] TGT: Using a check digit on your barcode

Dear All:
I am looking for information regarding the use of check digits for
library barcodes.
I know the basic information (although I wouldn't attempt the algorithm
myself) regarding the use of check digits, but I have also been told
that I don't really need to use them. We are moving to 14-digit barcodes
and want to get the specs right the first time! Any info or suggestions
regarding actual use would be appreciated--Thanks!
