[LM_NET] MS Tech - Laptops instead of computer labs

We recencly passed a bond to renovate the existing H.S. for the middle
school to enter and build a new high school. We have been told that
instead of computer labs, we are going to have carts of laptops that
teachers can check out and use anywhere in the building.  Some teachers
are concerned that middle school students who are hard on materials will
be hard on labtops (dropping them and leaving them places).

Those of you at the middle school level with carts of laptops, have you
had problems with the way middle school students treat the laptops?  Have
you had to replace a lot of them due to careless use by students?
