Chester's "What is one person's trash is another person's treasure." reminded me of another way I discard books. Offer discarded books to your school's art department or a local craft store to be used in making altered books. This spring our art teacher plans to invite staff members to make altered books for the student art show. (A few years ago we were invited to decorate mini gourds. Our artwork is then auctioned off in a silent auction.) I saw an article on making altered book purses in a recent craft magazine. -- Sincerely, Deb Logan Librarian/Media Specialist Mount Gilead High School Mount Gilead, OH OELMA Advocacy Chair <MAILTO:jd3logan@bright.net> <http://www.deblogan.com> > -------------------------------------------------------------------- All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
