This is my second year at a Pre-K to 8 school and last year I had a used
book sale with the weeded books. I also asked parents and church members
(we are a Catholic School) for their used books as well. I also accepted
CD's (music and software) and VHS tapes. I charged 25 cents for paperbacks
and $1 for hard backs and anything else. I just spread everything out on
library tables and had it open during regular class times and during recess
times. I made $1000! I think that is pretty good for pure cash profit. I
plan to do it again and this year I will let the local home schoolers
association know because last year I had a number of them come and buy quite
a few books. I think it was worth it. What didn't sell I gave to the
school fair committee to sell at our school fair.
