These are the responses I received for my post last week. Thank you for sharing your ideas. Cobblestone, Appleseeds, Boys Life, Sports Illustrated Kids, National Geographic Kids, Kids Discover When I started working here, this school was paying over $1700 towards magazines. I have cut that down to about $250. Most of the magazines for young kids have activities to do in them. So the kids were always bummed that they couldn't write in the mags and such. I cut everything out except a few teacher magazines. The teachers who truly use the magazines, have ordered them to keep in their classrooms. I am sure there is a host of people out there who would disagree with me. But, it is so much easier not having them. Not to mention that my boss has put all that magazine money into the book fund, so I am order $1500 worth of more books each year:) Emily Peterson LMS East Moriches Elementary School k2ree@optonline.net _________________________________________________________________ Express yourself instantly with MSN Messenger!
