FYI
According to Federal law, 'person-first' language is the proper way to
reference students with disabilities. The emphasis is on the students
who have emotional, behavioral, physical, or learning disabilities. We
no longer make reference to "learning disabled students" or "retarded
students". This is a politically correct 'fine' point, but one that is
currently supported by Federal law.

Subject: Target: Websites with short stories, essays, etc.

I told an Israeli friend that I'd help her out by soliciting LM_NET for
some information to help a colleague of hers who works in an Israeli
high school, where she teaches English. Many of her students have
learning disabilities. Here's what she's looking for:

"I am searching the net in an effort to find a site with short stories
that could be interesting to the kids. The point is that my LD kids have
problems reading and if i want to enhance their reading I must make them
read.
