FYI According to Federal law, 'person-first' language is the proper way to reference students with disabilities. The emphasis is on the students who have emotional, behavioral, physical, or learning disabilities. We no longer make reference to "learning disabled students" or "retarded students". This is a politically correct 'fine' point, but one that is currently supported by Federal law.
