I got a message from "Kathy" in my reply account that
should be posted:

May I also add that The Curious Incident is not about
a boy in custody but an autistic boy determined to
solve a mystery(a la Sherlock Holmes) who is dismayed
by what he learns. He then runs away, and the story
is so inspiring!!!! Please give it a chance.

Kathy

I LOVED that book! I listened to it on CD and then
bought it for the library in print, too. It was even
better in print because the mathmatics diagrams made
the math and the boy's brilliance more obvious,
especially for those of us with math blocks! It's a
winner, Sara Johns
