I just had a reminder about pets in the library. Not too long ago, in a nice NY 
town library, they had a small display to turtles, fish, and a very small rodent, I 
cannot recal. I remember the odors from the area any time I visited. It lasted 6 
days! One young patron put a finger in when no one was supervising. The injury 
turned out to be a law suit that was eventually dropped because injury turned out 
to be small. Needless to tell you that there were many animal activist groups that 
made known how bad that idea was. Libraries are not appropriate -places for 
animals.   Linda
