Please be  careful when labeling CDs. You need to use a marker that has ink
that is for CDs. Some markers will actually damage the CD. Also, labels can
be a problem- they can come off or make CD unblanced - or etch them.
Safest: a marker that is made for CDs - it will say so on the package.

Sharpie Markers work great on the non-laser side of CD's or on the plastic
circle insert. We write the Disc number on each in the set 1 of 5 for
example as well as the barcode of the set on each disc. Our school name is
also included as other schools sometomes borrow materials. Individual discs
do get lost or damaged or misplaced, so labeling definitely helps!
