Definitely look at the Orca Soundings offerings
<http://www.orcabook.com/SoundingsFrame.htm> Twenty-five books in the
collection now. I have all but the newest three, dupe copies of many,
and at best can find 3 or 4 on the shelves at any one time.

My guess is my circ on these is 2 or 3 times what the computer really
says. Jane checks one out, Jeff brings it back with a buddy that wants it.

The RL goes as low as 2 (up to 4.5). They are covering a wide range of
contemporary issues, eye catching covers. Take a look at some of the
authors!, I've had several kids read the whole series and then start
making choices based on those authors.
